In this 4-man event each player hits a tee shot and the best shot is selected. The player whose shot is selected steps aside for the next shot, meaning he does not hit his ball but watches and cheers the others on. The other 3 players play the next shot from the position of the selected ball by placing or dropping within one club length of the original ball’s position or 6 inches on the fringe of the green, no closer to the hole. This same procedure is used on all shots until the ball is on the putting green.
Once on the putting green all players participate in putting. When placing or dropping the ball, the ball must stay in its original condition of play, meaning you cannot drop from the rough into the fairway. Once the ball is holed that becomes the teams official score. We are playing gross scores.
For threesomes, follow the above format, but for the 4th player, the players will rotate hitting a 2nd tee shot. If one of the shots of the player who hit 2 shots, is selected he is steps aside and watches as one of the other 2 players hits 2 shots. If another player’s shot is selected the player who hit 2 tee shots will hit 2 shots from that position while the player whose ball is selected steps aside and watches.
