In the 1st round of the Two-Man Championship in 3 or 4 Flights we are playing a 2-Man Scotch (modified Alternate shot) on holes 1-9, the Front 9 and 2-Man Scramble on holes10-18 the back 9.
For the 2-man scramble both players hit off the tee, pick the best shot and both play from that spot; continue playing the best shot until the ball is holed. Record your gross teams best score for each hole on the scorecard.
For the 2-man Scotch on holes 1-9 the Front 9 each team member tees off then selects the best ball that you want to play and the other player hits the ball. If it is in the fairway one can lift clean replace the ball with his own and place the ball; if it is in the rough one must play it where it lies. Moving a ball in the rough is a 1-stroke penalty. Continue alternating shots until ball is holed.
Record your gross team score for each hole on the front 9 on the scorecard. Only after all 18 holes are completed, add the front 9 gross score and the back 9 gross score together to get the Team’s gross score. Then subtract the teams handicap, for a Team Net Score for the 1st round of the 2-man Championship. Handicaps have been determined by taking 60% of the low handicap and 40% of the high handicap and adding the results to produce a team handicap.
