In honor of Memorial Day, we will be playing our version of a 4-man Red, White and Blue competition. Everyone tees off from where the American Flags will be located. American Flags will be where the White Tees usually are located, on hole numbers 10-15, and we will use the 1 Best Ball as the Team score. American Flags will be where the Gold Tees are usually located on holes 4-9 and we will use the 3 Best Balls and remember, hole 5 is a par 4. And flags will be where the Green tees are usually located on holes 16,17,18,1,2, & 3 and we will use the 2 Best Balls. Everyone’s’ handicap is based on the Green tees so when posting this score for handicap everyone uses the Green tees. The team with the lowest net score will be the winner. Threesomes: Decide which player will hit 2 shots from each set of tees. For example, player A will play 2 balls on holes 10-15, Player B plays 2 balls on holes 16-3, and player C plays 2 balls on holes 4-9. Scorecards: On the 5th line on the scorecards, the line below where the + or- is located, put a 2 for holes 1,2,3,16,17, & 18, meaning the 2 best scores will be used for the team score; on holes 4,5,6,7,8 &9, put a 3, meaning the 3 best net scores will be used for the team score, remember hole 5 is a par 4; and on holes 10,11,12,13, 14, &15 put a 1, meaning the 1 best net score will be the team score. On the 6 line on the scorecard, record the Team score for each hole in terms of the number of strokes the Team is over or under par. For example, if the 4 net scores on hole # 8, a par 5, are 4, 4, 6 & 5 the Team score will be -2, using 3 Best net scores, do this for each hole. At the end of the round add up the total number of strokes the team is over or under par. Then subtract that number from 142, which would be even par for this event.
