2026 Thursday Night Golf League • 9 Hole League. 2-man teams. WHITE TEES; or, GOLD TEES for THOSE 60 and older or physically handicapped. Info below is based on 32 teams. • League runs 18 total weeks- May 14th - Sept 3rd or 10th or 17th depending on any potential rain postponement. • Regular Season is Weeks 1-14. Playoffs and Losers Bracket are Weeks 15-18. • If a regular season week is rained out it will we will attempt to make that week up before the last week of the regular season. We have enough time this year for at least one 'rain week.' • “Winter Rules” EVERYWHERE -1 grip length no nearer the hole. Except: Staked PENALTY AREAS (that's the new term for Water and Lateral Hazards), on the Green, and OB. • NOTE: 1 Grip Length means 1 STANDARD Grip Length- it doesn't mean you are entitled to a clean line of play or swing path if you are behind a tree and the 1 grip length doesn't get you away from it. • SAND TRAPS: FULL RELIEF FROM ALL TRAPS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Take relief where you initially crossed into the bunker. • End of year Tourney- 18 holes- DATE: Sunday, September 6th. 3 best balls out of 4. HANDICAP. Thank you! • Format: 2 Man teams play against each other each week, with Handicap. • Any new league members, beginning HDCP will be assigned by the committee based a combination of GHIN, other league play, and the eye test. • The 2 conferences are determined primarily by what time that team is available to play- but not in all cases. • The OFFICIAL Starting time for us is when the tee is closed, is 4-6PM. Even for the National League, “Later” takes precedence over “Earlier”. The National League was created to ease the congestion on the Tee at 5PM and later, not as a guarantee that you can play each week at 2PM. • Handicaps will be adjusted weekly by the site using WHS “World Handicapping System”, which is GHIN’s daddy. • Each week, players will be given an official scorecard with HDCP strokes already on it where they fall. In case of a late sub, scorecard will be fixed at the course. • FORMAT: Each week, you can get a Minimum of 0 points, and a Maximum of 20 points. Each hole is worth 2 points: 1 for Low Ball, and 1 for High Ball. If “Team A” has a Net 3 for Low Ball, and “Team B” has a net 4, “Team A” gets 1 point. If Low Ball is a tie, each team gets ½ point. Same theory applies to High Ball. The possible scores each hole are 2-0, 1.5-.5, and 1-1. After 9 holes, the LOW NET 9 hole score in the Match receives an additional 2 points. A low net tie means 1 point each. • The team that Wins the match gets 2 points in the Standings, the loser gets 0. If it’s a tie, both teams get 1 point. • If there is a rule discrepancy on the course, play 2 balls to finish the hole and the committee will make a decision on the ruling after the round. • -NET SKINS: Every other week, it will be NET SKINS. After week 8 it switches so we get Scratch and Net skins on the front and back throughout the season. PLAYOFFS • After 14 weeks, the top 8 in each CONFERENCE make the playoffs. • Week 14 Position Round, in each Conference, 1 plays 2, and 3 plays 4, 5 plays 6, 7 plays 10, 8 plays 9, 11 plays 12, 13 plays 14, 15 plays 16. • The Losers Bracket. All teams that do not make the playoffs will have a single elimination tourney. • There will be a losers bracket “Bracket” also- win and continue, lose and you are done. • The Weekly payout of $840 goes from Week 1 through Week 15. There are no weekly payouts for weeks 16-18, as the only teams still alive are already playing for Playoff and Losers Bracket money. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. 2026 Weekly Payouts Each Week, each match winner gets $40. If the match is tied, each team gets $20. (16 x $40 = $640) Team Skins (You can’t cancel your partner) $150 Closest to The Pin ($25 each par 3 x 2) $50 $840 Weekly As long as we are allowed on the course, you are expected to play. The only way we don't play is if there is Lightning or if the Course is closed. Once you begin a match, you are obligated to finish the match, weather permitting. If you tee off at Noon, and it rains at 12:30, you have to hang around- or come back-until it is obvious the match can't be completed that night. That means if it rains until 7 PM, you have to finish at 7. IF YOU TEE OFF AFTER 6 PM-, and can not complete 9 holes, the holes played count- and any remaining points are divided equally and added to the points already accumulated. Any match that completes 5 holes and is unable to finish due to the weather- ALL REMAINING POINTS- INCLUDING LOW NET BEST BALL- ARE SPLIT. Any completed matches, the Winners will be paid and those matches count. All teams (those that teed off before 6PM) must finish 5 holes for it to be a complete week. If it is not a complete week, there are no skins that week and that money goes to the Playoffs/Losers Bracket. ANY OTHER UNFORESEEN WEATHER EVENTS WILL BE HANDLED BY THE COMMITTEE. TIE-BREAKER PROCEDURE FOR REGULAR SEASON STANDINGS If there is a TIE for a playoff spot AFTER WEEK 14: -2 WAY TIE- The 2 teams involved have a 9-hole playoff to be played by the following Wednesday. -3 WAY TIE- 1: Best cumulative record amongst the teams that are tied. 2: Most Wins. E.g.: a record of 8-6 beats a record of 5-3-6 3: Most Total Weekly Points for the year. 4: Highest 1-week Total Points for the year until tie is broken. 5: Coin Flip Weather and Playoff Info: If the weather doesn't allow us to finish play- ANY HOLES PLAYED in a Playoff match COUNT and the match will need to be completed before the following Thursday. Also, the 4 players who begin the match MUST be the 4 who finish it. NEW RULE IN EFFECT SINCE 2022: Anyone who is 60 or above or that has a physical handicap may now play the GOLD tees. If you move to the GOLD tees, your handicap drops by 3 and will be adjusted moving forward. Once you switch to the GOLD tees, you must play there the rest of the year. PLAYOFF TIEBREAKER: If you are tied 10-10 after 9 holes, you go to a sudden death playoff, where the 1st team to get more than 1 point on a hole will be the Match winner. You will start on the 1st hole of the side you played that week, with the handicap strokes falling in the same spots as they did in the original 9 hole match, and continue playing the holes in order until there is a winner.
