Rules And Information
Our skins game consists of a weekly 18-hole net skins game, usually played on Saturday or Sunday at varying courses.
Buy In / Prizes
-
Each golfer will pay $20 to play in the game
-
$11 goes to net skins
-
$5 goes to low net prizes
-
$4 goes to CTP on par 3s
-
Net Skins - The skins pot is divided evenly among the skins won
-
Low Net - Players win prize money from the low net pot based on the following:
-
6 players or fewer: 1st - 100%
-
7-11 players: 1st - 65%, 2nd - 35%
-
12+ players: 1st - 60%, 2nd - 25%, 3rd - 15%
-
CTP - the CTP pot will be split evenly among each of the 1st four par 3s
-
Your ball has to be on the surface of the green (not the fringe) to be eligible to win this prize.
-
If all players in the field miss the green on one of the CTP par 3s, the prize money for that hole will be distributed to the other CTP winners evenly.
-
All players must play from the same tees to be eligible to win CTP/Skins. If a player wants to play from a different set of tees, then they will only be eligible to win the low net prize and will only have to pay $5 to buy-in. All players must play a set of tees that is rated by USGA for their gender.
Rules
-
USGA rules will govern all play, except where otherwise specified by local course rules and the following exceptions:
-
Out of bounds and lost balls are to be played as lateral hazards in order to keep up the pace of play.
-
Under certain wet conditions or when the course is out-of-season, we sometimes will implement a lift-clean-place everywhere rule.
-
All players are encouraged to finish each hole. That said, if a player fails to putt out or does not finish a hole we implement a double par max score for that hole. For example, if you pick up on a par 4, you must mark an 8 for that hole.
Handicaps
-
Each player will receive 80% of their course handicap for the net skins game. No player can receive more than one stroke per hole.
-
Players will be required to enter enough scores into GolfLeagueSite to build a WHS handicap for the events.
-
Players handicaps will be maintained on this site. However, if their WHS handicap index on the site deviates considerably from their true handicap due to an extremely good or extremely bad round, the league manager reserves the right to manually override the player's handicap until the player has enough recent scores on the site.
