Rules And Information

Welcome to the Scotch Plains Police Golf League rules page. Rules: 1. No Substitutes in the Playoffs/Tiolet Bowl!

Official Team Rule- There must be two (2) official players that make up the 'Official' Team. This is for playoffs, during playoffs, only the two (2) main players will be allowed to participate. This keeps ringers from being brought in.

Double Par Max Score- The max strokes that you can put on the card are double par + your handicap for the hole. If you are really bad, and getting 2 strokes per hole, on a par 3, the max strokes you get are 8 for that hole, double par + your 2 hc. This will keep people, really bad people, from getting a 6 on a par 3 and putting a 4 on the card. It will also be counted towards your overall score for the match.

Playing the Round on any day besides the official day for the league, Wednesday/Thursday. Everyone will have to use the GLS app to enter scores, only one person can enter the scores for a foursome on the day of the match, but if you have to play the round by yourself, you can play from the Thursday before the scheduled date, up and until the following Tuesday when the next match is due to be played. Basically, you can play one week before to one week after the actual scheduled date. By putting your score on the app, the others can see your score immediately, and you can see their scores as well. **Also, someone must keep the score on a scorecard in case there are any problems with the app, phone reception, etc. This will be the official backup system. If that happens, you can send me a copy of the card and I will enter it for you.

We play from the Blue tees, however, those who are 65 yrs. old and over can play from the White tees, and those who are 70 yrs. old and older, can play from the Yellow tees. You do not have to play from those tees if you don't want to, but you are allowed to. (*Please feel free to call someone out and ask to see their ID if you don't believe them!)

You can find contact information for all league members and substitutes in the photo gallery. I have posted pictures there of everyone's information. There is also a new Substitute Portal on the website, I have not used it yet but it looks really cool. You can pick out whoever is going to sub for you for a particular week, or you can put in a request for a sub if you're going to need one.
